FTX Automotive-Grade Fully Solid-State 180° Short-Range Lidar
Hesai FTX: Small Size Wider Perspective
Hesai’s FTX is an automotive-grade, fully solid-state short-range lidar specifically designed to eliminate perception blind spots for ADAS-equipped vehicles and various robotic applications. Built on Hesai’s fourth-generation technology platform, the FTX features a fully solid-state electronic scanning architecture, which removes the need for moving mechanical parts, ensuring high reliability and a long service life. It offers an industry-leading, ultra-wide field of view (FOV) of up to 180° horizontally and 140° vertically, providing the most comprehensive panoramic coverage available for short-range detection.
Designed for seamless vehicle and robot integration, the FTX boasts an ultra-compact form factor that is 66% lighter than the previous generation (FT120). Its sleek, embedded installation requires an optical window of only 50 x 30 mm, significantly reducing its visual impact on vehicle aesthetics. Despite its small size, the FTX delivers powerful performance with a detection range of 30 meters at 10% reflectivity and a point rate of 492,000 points per second—2.5 times higher than its predecessor. This high resolution allows for the precise detection of low-profile obstacles and vulnerable road users, such as strollers, pedestrians, and e-bikes. With a low power consumption of less than 6 W and robust automotive-grade certifications (ISO 26262 and ISO 21434), the FTX serves as the essential "final piece" for achieving L3 and L4 autonomous driving safety.
